Today at Pax Lodge we … Part 1
16 July 2010
Here at Pax Lodge our summer events are underway and groups including guests from Australia, Canada, Malta, Mexico and the USA having been taking part in our Journey Through London Events.
These events offer the opportunity to explore London, learn about Pax Lodge and WAGGGS while having time to make new Guiding and Scouting Friends.
We have asked the participants in each event to write a Journal style report about their day. Here are some of the highlights of their visit including the Monopoly Scavenger Hunt and a flight on the London Eye.
|
We started off the day by planning our Monopoly scavenger hunt. We then took the tube to King’s Cross Station to visit Platform 9 3/4, Leciester Square, Trafalgar Square, and Westminster Abbey. We ended the day with a glorious “flight” on the London Eye. |
|
Monopoly ventured to famous spots around London including Abbey road, Oxford circus, King’s Cross Station, and Trafalgar Square. |
|
Our first attraction for the day was The London Eye experience including a short 4D film. After the magnificent ride on the London Eye with breathtaking views each group headed off to start the monopoly challenge which led us through the popular streets of London. |
